Well, another summer vacation from school is almost upon us. One week from today my middle baby {PHILLIP} graduates from high school. Friday is his last day of actual classroom attendance. Where oh where has the time gone?! I’m an emotional woos… so I’ve been walking around on the brink of tears for days now. Phillip is going to live at home for the first two years of college so I guess I’m not really “losing” him just yet. I’m so proud of all he’s done in his life so far. He’s a really responsible kid with a wonderful plan for his future. He wants to be an electrical engineer specializing in robotics. It just so happens that a local college offers this specialty. Lucky for me (selfishly
) and lucky for Phillip too! Life is good!
Here are a few layouts I finished up the other day. The first one uses mostly My Mind’s Eye product. The second one uses mostly Collage Press products. Trying to blow through my stash quickly since my new BG should be here any week now! BG always excites me!!!! And Webster’s Pages too. Speaking of which, I’ve got a bunch of Webster’s stuff to share… but it will be a little bit before I am allowed to do so… how’s that for a tease! LOL!

What inspires you? When I’m feeling I need a bit of a kick I tend to spend more time at the beach. And not just any beach, but rather the one at our local nature center. It’s not on the ocean but rather the intracoastal waterway. There is usually no one there but us. It’s like our own private little sanctuary. There is a nice little nature walk to get out to the beach. Down a bunch of steps… through the natural Florida vegetation. It’s really so peaceful and relaxing. A great place to meditate and clear the mind. It also has a wonderful little dock. One day Logan was hanging out on the dock and just breathing in all the fresh air. I got a super fun picture of him… it almost looks like he’s ready to grab hold of LIFE! So of course, I had to scrap it:

Logan at Hobe Sound Nature Center

Love that little charm!
So tell me, what inspires you…. what rejuvenates you? A special place, a person, a piece of art??? I’d love to hear from you!
Products used in the above layout are primarily from October Afternoon.
Have a spectacular Monday! ~Amy Tara~

We’re off to visit the inlaws for the weekend. It’s my FIL’s 80th birthday – or rather, it was during the week so we will be celebrating with him tonight. Happy Birthday James!
I’ll leave you with a layout I did of Jay and me. I’m loving the MLS papers I used on here. They are so bright and cheery. I thought they were perfect for a black and white photo. I used lots of the die cuts that were part of the collection too. Love die cuts… they make scrappy life so much faster and easier.

My Little Shoebox layout
Okay, that’s it. Have a GREAT weekend. See ya Sunday night! ~Amy Tara~

Did you watch AI last night? So the finale is Kris and Adam. Can’t wait! It should be really really good. They are both so talented and so different. This is going to be fun! {Yay! Go Adam!!!!!}
I used my April Studio Calico kit to create this page. I love the little clock stamp that came in the kit. I think that’s why I bought the kit?!? LOL! I don’t usually use stamps so this is a big deal for me! Love my boys so very much. Love that they are so close yet so different. I can’t imagine them any other way.

Thanks Goodness It’s Tuesday!!! You know what that means…. I get my fix:

Adam Lambert
Yup, gotta get my Adam fix in before the season is over. I’m so excited for tonight because they each get to sing two songs. I’ve heard that Adam is singing either One by U2 or Wicked GAmes… either way, I’m sure I will love it cause I love everything this kid does! I cannot wait until he is out doing concerts. I will definitely be buying his CD’s and going to his concerts! Good luck tonight Adam. And BTW, Kris and Danny, the other two finalists are very talented too. So the show is sure to be awesome!
I’ve got some cards and a layout to share with you today. I used Webster’s Pages papers to make my cards and the layout is just random stuff and lots of ephemera. I had fun playing with it.

ADAM IS SAFE!!!!!
Okay, had to say that – HUGE sigh of relief… now on with the rest of life.
Right now, I am craving some good long deep sleep. I’m so tired I can barely think straight. I’ve had so much going on lately. I really must get myself to bed earlier. I’m a morning person – up by 4. Love that time of the day because it’s so peaceful. But it doesn’t work well when you’ve stayed up until 11 or 12…. several nights in a row. I fear looking in the mirror cause the bags under my eyes must be enormous! LOL!
I’ve got a few layouts to share today. On the first two I used some of my Webster’s Pages stash. Have I told you lately how much I LOVE Webster’s Pages!?! And the last one I made using Cosmo Cricket papers.

Jay & Nathaniel
I used some of the Tim Holtz crackle paint on my title letters then dry brushed over them with some ink to get the color I wanted and bring out the crackles a little more.

Logan at the beach one evening
I used two different trims on here – the ball trim and the small darker teal lace over it. I love how versatile these papers are. The colors are so yummy!

Logan - fall 2008
I really enjoyed working with these Cosmo Cricket papers. I got one of the Studio Calico kits in April and these were part of the kit as well as the AC chipboard letters and Heidi Swapp invisibles heart. I love how the ink works on the heart with the resist part. You can have the color you want and a cool pattern… genius!
Well, that’s about it for today. Off to tackle todays HUGE to-do list. Have a wonderful day! ~Amy Tara~
