Just a quickie to share my project for this week’s random chaos challenge.  We had to use a b/w photo, blue and ribbon.  This photo is my mom and her family in 1937… I used mostly MM Chloe’s Closet product for this design.

Cold and it’s cold!

Well, today I am kinda disgusted.  I have a blasted head cold again.  I just had one in early December and now I’m sneezing my head off, stuffed up, can’t breathe… blech!  I really want to scrap but my head hurts and my eyes are watering.  This stinks!

On a better note, I have my project for Random Chaos this week that I can share with you.  I kept it really simple, and followed the sketch from the CMK formula Friday.  I love the new BG Bittersweet papers and just had to use them for this.  The pix are from New Year’s Eve day which is also our anniversary.  If you want to see the sketch check out www.createmykeepsake.com  Every Friday Lisa posts a sketch and contest.  CMK is a wonderful place to hang out!  Hope to see you there!

The TV clicker…

Well, I am not much of a television watcher… but I am very interested and excited about the inauguration activities… and then, there’s football(blech!)  So, Jay and I fight over the TV and the clicker… he’s resorted to keeping it in his pocket and only changing the channel for inaugural stuff when there is a commercial during the game.  Thank goodness I only have to put up with this nonsense for today.  Tomorrow, he goes back to work (thank god!) and I gain control of the clicker!  LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Before Christmas the CMK DT girls did a Secret Santa swap.  I made part of my gift – a vintage muse box – filled with all kinds of vintage and vintage style goodies.   Here are a few pix: (having a little trouble uploading them so keep scrolling until you see all three)

Yup, this little baby was chock full of all kinds of fun things.  I’m pretty sure the recipient enjoyed it…. I hope so, anyway.

Well, that’s it for today… have a great rest of the weekend!  And if you see my DH, make sure you get the clicker for me!  LOL!

Cruise photos

I’ve finally finished going through all of our cruise photos.  We had such a great time and it seems like it was ages ago that we were away.  The time just goes so fast.  My favorite port was Guatemala.  It is so beautiful there.  Lush and green, virtually untouched by modern development… which of course, has its pro’s and con’s.  So here are some of my favorite photos:

Don’t worry, they were only in the Casino for photos, no gambling.

This little girl captured the hearts of everyone on our mission.  The lagoon was so peaceful and she canoed right up to our boat to welcome us to the area.  She was so precious.

The dancers were so colorful and fun to watch.

The boys and I had fun playing bingo on the last day of the cruise.  There were two chances, one to win another cruise and one to win a pot of $2800.  We did not win either but we sure had fun playing!

The thing I miss most about the cruise, or any cruise, for that matter, is dinnertime in the dining room.  I love getting dressed to go to dinner and NOT having to cook, serve, clean up, etc!!!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out some of our trip highlights!  Have a blessed day!  Amy Tara
