I was invited to be on the WEBSTER’S PAGES design team!!!  Yay!!!  Seriously, this IS a dream come true for me.  I am very very grateful for this opportunity, humbled and a little intimidated too.

This has been the very hardest thing I’ve ever had to keep to myself… thank god I went away for several weeks in the interim…just sayin’.  So stay tuned… I’ll be adding lots of Webster’s Pages projects in the coming weeks and months.  Have I told you lately how much I LOVE their products… yeah, well, I DO!!!!!!!!!!

And the rest of the girls on the team, including new additions of Lisa Pace and Lucy Edson, wow…  what a GREAT bunch of seriously talented ladies.  I am in AWE of all their masterful-selves.

So there you have it, my big news of the year.  When I come down from the clouds of “oh my god, I can’t believe it” I’ll start posting my WP stuff.

Smiles all!  ~Amy Tara~

Michael Jackson’s memorial service is today.  This is such a sad time for so many.  Michael was, undoubtedly, one of the very best performers ever to grace this planet.  I remember the first time I saw the Jackson 5.  I was lying on my parents bed with my sister watching the Ed Sullivan show.  I was maybe 7 or 8 at the time.  It was the Jackson 5’s debut.  I was a fan from that moment on.  Although Michael has had, so it would seem, a somewhat tortured and controversial personal life, I choose to remember him for the great gifted  entertainer he was and for the giving humanitarian he was.  I truly hope Michael finds peace and healing wherever he is right now.  May you rest in peace Michael.

So finally back to real life.  Getting my photos sorted from our trip.  Got Logan back from scout camp yesterday.  Ready to get back in the groove.  Jay is blogging about the trip too.  If you’d care to see more photos than what I post here (and I’ve only downloaded four days worth so far) you can visit his blog http://lovedamships.blogspot.com/

Gotta love it!  I was so dang excited to see that!  Seriously, it’s what I went there for.  It was freezing that night and in the 7th inning it started to rain.  Miserable weather but what a game!!!

LOVE that ship.  It’s so pretty inside and the crew was phenomenal.  Seriously, one of the very best cruises I’ve ever been on!

We had lots of stops throughout the northeast, canadian maritimes, Quebec, and Montreal.  Each and every stop was wonderful.  LOVED this entire itinerary.

Sorry I’ve been MIA.  We were extremely busy at the end of school and then left the following day for vacation.  I’ll be updating soon.  Just didn’t want you to think I fell off the face of the earth.  ~Amy Tara~

Well, another summer vacation from school is almost upon us.  One week from today my middle baby {PHILLIP} graduates from high school.   Friday is his last day of actual classroom attendance.   Where oh where has the time gone?!   I’m an emotional woos… so I’ve been walking around on the brink of tears for days now.  Phillip is going to live at home for the first two years of college so I guess I’m not really “losing” him just yet.  I’m so proud of all he’s done in his life so far.  He’s a really responsible kid with a wonderful plan for his future.  He wants to be an electrical engineer specializing in robotics.  It just so happens that a local college offers this specialty.  Lucky for me (selfishly ;) ) and lucky for Phillip too!  Life is good!

Here are a few layouts I finished up the other day.  The first one uses mostly My Mind’s Eye product.   The second one uses mostly Collage Press products.  Trying to blow through my stash quickly since my new BG should be here any week now!  BG always excites me!!!!  And Webster’s Pages too.  Speaking of which, I’ve got a bunch of Webster’s stuff to share… but it will be a little bit before I am allowed to do so… how’s that for a tease!  LOL!

What inspires you?  When I’m feeling I need a bit of a kick I tend to spend more time at the beach.  And not just any beach, but rather the one at our local nature center.  It’s not on the ocean but rather the intracoastal waterway.  There is usually no one there but us.  It’s like our own private little sanctuary.  There is a nice little nature walk to get out to the beach.  Down a bunch of steps… through the natural Florida vegetation.  It’s really so peaceful and relaxing.  A great place to meditate and clear the mind.  It also has a wonderful little dock.  One day Logan was hanging out on the dock and just breathing in all the fresh air.  I got a super fun picture of him… it almost looks like he’s ready to grab hold of LIFE!  So of course, I had to scrap it:

So tell me, what inspires you…. what rejuvenates you?  A special place, a person, a piece of art???  I’d love to hear from you!

Products used in the above layout are primarily from October Afternoon.

Have a spectacular Monday!  ~Amy Tara~

We’re off to visit the inlaws for the weekend.  It’s my FIL’s 80th birthday – or rather, it was during the week so we will be celebrating with him tonight.  Happy Birthday James!

I’ll leave you with a layout I did of Jay and me.  I’m loving the MLS papers I used on here.  They are so bright and cheery.  I thought they were perfect for a black and white photo.  I used lots of the die cuts that were part of the collection too.  Love die cuts… they make scrappy life so much faster and easier.

Okay, that’s it.  Have a GREAT weekend.  See ya Sunday night!  ~Amy Tara~

Did you watch AI last night?  So the finale is Kris and Adam.  Can’t wait!  It should be really really good.  They are both so talented and so different.  This is going to be fun!  {Yay!  Go Adam!!!!!}

I used my April Studio Calico kit to create this page.  I love the little clock stamp that came in the kit.  I think that’s why I bought the kit?!?  LOL!  I don’t usually use stamps so this is a big deal for me!   Love my boys so very much.  Love that they are so close yet so different.  I can’t imagine them any other way.

I was asked to be the guest designer for ScrapStreet.com for Stacey’s article.  Should be in the Jul/Aug edition.  I’m so excited!  It is a really great assignment I was given.  It was something I was wanting to do anyway so the timing was perfect.  Okay, can’t say anymore about it.  Sorry to be a tease.
Have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by!  ~Amy Tara~
