Making it Meaningful

I decided that this year I would not make any resolutions.  So I didn’t.  What I did do, however, is create an “inspiration board”.  I’m still working on it, adding a few little extras.  I put pictures, saying, small objects on this board to reflect the things I hope to achieve this year or at the very least, be working towards.  It is to serve as a reminder, inspiration, and maybe a little progress report as the year goes forward.  I’ll share it with you once I get it finished.  I will share one item on this board is my blog.  I hope to give it a face lift, blog more, and start including some tutorials as well.  So what are you striving for this year?  Do you set resolutions?  Let me know your thoughts.

I have a few Webster’s items to share today.  Yesterday was Terri’s birthday so our DT each made a card for her.  We posted them on the Inspire Me site if you’d like to see what the rest of the gals did.  This is mine:

I used some of the 6×6 papers, the tatted lace birdcage, a cameo, velvet ribbon and some bling.  I love the 6×6 papers… they can be addicting!

This is a layout I did using the Home for the Holidays collection.  I love how versatile the WP papers are… even though this is a Christmas collection I used it here for a travel page.

That’s it for today.  I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!  Thanks for stopping by!  ~Amy Tara

Another HOT new product!

You got it…. HOT as in – a beach/vacation style paper line.  And boy could we use some of those nice HOT thoughts in this frigid weather!  Today I have the honor of introducing you to the SEASIDE COLLECTION a new Webster’s Pages product debuting at CHA in a few weeks.  READER’S PARADISE is one of my favorite sheets of paper in this collection.  Isn’t it just fabulous!!!!

Wouldn’t you just LOVE to curl up with a good book on that inviting hammock?  And how about the heat from the orange backside…. oh I can think of so many ways to put this paper to work.  Travel and beach pictures, of course.  But what about using that delicious backside for some pumpkin patch/ fall pictures,…. or Thanksgiving?  The compass guide makes me think of life changes and choosing the right direction to go in… perhaps graduation?  And what about the hammock… seems to me I’ve seen an episode or two where pirates sleep on hammocks… hmmm… pirate birthday party anyone?  The possibilities are endless with this collection.

Head on over to Inspire Me and play along with the scavenger hunt.  Webster’s Pages is having their reveals this week and you could win some fun prizes!  Hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful HOT day!  ~Amy Tara~

Happy New Year, Happy Birthday, and Happy New Products!

Well, what could be better than starting off the New Year and my birthday than with a GARDEN GALA - one of the new collections Webster’s Pages is introducing for CHA-winter.  I’ve got one peek to show you of this fabulous collection.  This patterned paper (showing both sides) is called WELCOME GATE.  It’s beautiful.  As are all the papers in this collection!

The “backside” looks like intricate scrollwork you might find in an iron gate.  A perfect backdrop for your photos.  It’s elegant and rustic at the same time.  And the front has beautiful images just waiting to be cut out and assembled around your photos.  I can easily see this collection being used for garden and nature photos as well as travel photos.  I was recently in Columbia and have numerous photos of gorgeous old architectural structures that would look awesome with this garden themed collection.

Head on over to Webster’s Pages Inspire Me site and play along with our scavenger hunt showcasing the new products about to hit the stores.  It’s fun, you could win a prize, and most of all, you’ll be dreaming of the different ways you’ll want to use this product!

Have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by! ~Amy Tara~

Well, with one thing or another, I have been so very busy.  I can’t believe I haven’t posted on this blog in so long.  Sorry!

We leave tomorrow for our vacation… coming back January 9.  Or there abouts… I kinda forgot the exact date.

I’m busy trying to get things boxed for shipping.  I’ve made lots of things this month, just nothing I can share at this time.  Such a shame.   Oh well, I suppose eventually you might get a peek.

I’m glad 2009 is coming to an end.  In some aspects it has been a great year.  In others, it has been an awful year.  I’m really glad to see it go!

Looking forward to 2010… I’ll be sorting out my goals and plans while we are way… you know, while I actually have a few minutes to myself where I can sit and think.  A luxury at this point in my life.  I’m looking forward to doing the R&R thing in a big way this trip!

And with that said, I bid you all a wonderful holiday season filled with lots of joy and laughter, warmth and love, and blessings in abundance.  Happy Holidays!  Happy New Year!  and BRING IT ON 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!  ~Amy Tara~

One of my favorite blogs to visit is the Aussie Scrap Source blog.  When I visited there today I was pleasantly surprised  to find three of my cards featured in their Basic Grey post.  I’m so thrilled!

http://www.aussiescrapsource.typepad.com/

And, I was contacted by scrapbooking.com for some of my projects along with an article/how to.

And, I have another thing to shout about but I can’t let that out of the bag yet… but soon!

Thanks for letting me share!  Happy November 1st!  ~Amy Tara~
